Growth After Breast Cancer is a virtual therapeutic group for women seeking connection, meaning, and emotional healing beyond survival. Led by a licensed psychotherapist, this group offers a supportive space to process your experience, learn trauma-informed tools for resilience, and rediscover who you are becoming in the aftermath of cancer.

This group is for adults who have experienced breast cancer and are seeking a safe, therapist-guided space to process, connect, and grow. You might be newly out of treatment or years into survivorship—what matters most is your readiness to explore healing and meaning beyond survival.

The group meets weekly on Fridays from 1pm -2:15pm CST, virtually via Google Meet.

No. You don’t need to be in individual therapy, though many participants find that combining the two deepens their healing. The group provides education, guided reflection, and emotional support grounded in trauma-informed principles. This group is intended to be supportive and educational - it is NOT group therapy.

Yes, if you feel emotionally and physically ready to engage in gentle discussion and self-reflection. The focus is on mental and emotional well-being, not medical treatment, so participants are welcome at any stage of their journey.

Each meeting includes:
A short teaching topic related to emotional recovery and post-traumatic growth
A guided mindfulness or embodiment practice
Time for optional group sharing and connection
You’ll never be pressured to share more than you’re comfortable with.

The group meets virtually on Fridays 1pm CST via a secure Google Meet. Each session lasts about 75 minutes. You’ll receive meeting details after registration.

It’s a blend of both. This is a therapeutic support group—grounded in evidence-based education, clinical expertise, and compassionate community. You’ll receive structured guidance and the warmth of shared experience. This group is NOT group therapy or a substitute for therapy or mental health treatment.

No. You are always welcome to participate at your own pace. Many people begin by listening and gradually open up when they feel ready.

That’s very common. Joining a group takes courage. This is a kind, non-judgmental environment where you can come exactly as you are—whether you feel strong, tender, or uncertain.

This group is offered at no cost. Donations are welcome to support continued programming. You can donate HERE.

No. To honor confidentiality and safety, sessions are not recorded. Any violation of this rule and the person will be removed from the group.

A reliable internet connection and a device with audio and video (optional but encouraged). You’ll receive a secure Google Meet link upon registration. You do not need a gmail account to join.
